BACKGROUND
My interest in photography increased measurably when I started shooting digitally in 2003 with a Canon 10D digital camera. Since then, I have attended numerous photography seminars and classes to learn new skills and techniques to improve the quality of my images. In addition, I have enhanced my creative skills and artistic expression through participation in workshops led by Doug Johnson and Tim Cooper with the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, and locally by Tony Sweet, and Joseph Rossbach - all gifted professional nature photographers who reinforce my passion for this wonderful art form.
I am a member of the Gaithersburg and North Bethesda Camera Clubs located in Montgomery County, Maryland. Through club meetings and field trips, I have been very privileged to interact with many talented photographers that have added significantly to my knowledge and practice of photography.
I currently use a Canon 40D digital camera body and a variety of Canon lenses mounted on a Gitzo 2530 Explorer tripod with a Bogen 410 geared head. I process RAW files using Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Lightroom 3, and Nik software. I use an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 printer to print images on Epson's archival Velvet Fine Art paper.
